Valentine’s Day is in the Numbers

Happy Valentine’s Day.

I guess this might sound as a cheesy greeting or a just an all too common acknowledgement of the holiday. Still, I feel it won’t hurt to be old fashioned and greet all those dear to us with a great day during Valentine’s. This is actually a time for many of us car owners to take our time from under the hood and to give our attention to those who truly matter.

Speaking of Heart’s Day, here are a few figures that I feel would be of interest to every person who wishes to enjoy this day with their loved one. I have compiled the most interesting ones and I do hope that these facts can be of help in making this holiday one worth remembering. Some of these are amazing and honestly, some are just ridiculous. All in all I know they’d satisfy the curious and teach the info hungry.

1 The number of adult Valentine shopper for every two who will be buying gifts for more than one Valentine this year.  Number of men in 5 who proposed/ proposes on one knee.

2   out of five people usually get to marry their first love.

4   Percentage of men who asked for the parent’s approval for their bride’s hand in marriage.

5 The number of years longer, those who kiss their wives before leaving in the morning, live.  It is even found that those who kiss their wives before leaving usually earn more than those who don’t.

6 Percentage of men who proposed to their girlfriends over the phone.

The average number of months an engagement lasts.

27 Percentage of men who think their girls like to receive a romantic dinner during Valentine’s day. Next gift of choice is saying “I Love You” and then flowers.

Thanks for leaving the link on my blog http://david-mcmahon.blogspot.com/ and asking for my feedback on your site. All-round, it's pleasingly understated, with an interesting mix of subtle design elements, perfect-sized feed-ins to longer posts, and a pleasing mix of subjects. I loved the Vanilla ice cream post. It is more than the sum of its parts, and each wedge in the whole site fits neatly and harmoniously with the others. You have a really nice touch with writing and presentation and you don't try and blend too many gimmicks together. Understated is the new black – and you have got it right. So right. If there is anything specific you need to know, just contact me on my blog. And drop by again to leave your link on my blog, to nominate your site for Aussiejourno's Weekly Blog Awards. Have saved your blog to my Favourites, and I will be back regularly when I've finished this novel. If I have one piece of adice to you it would be – don't be afraid of an occasional splash of colour. No need to be garish, just a few subtle touches will liven up the overall look, but we're talking subtle tweaks here, not major changes. Good luck. Keep blogging. David aka aussiejourno
