Eight Aces for the Year 2008
by momikoto
We have not yet seen the half of this year, but car lovers everywhere are already looking forward to next years top cars. Based on type, model, price and the over all anticipation towards them, we came up with which of these these cars are most eye-catching and the most awaited for the year 2008.
No. EIGHT: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX

On the 8th spot is the Subaru Impreza. The April auto show in New York will divulge the new Subaru Impreza and the WRX is expected to come along with it, though previous reports are to the contrary. The Subaru Impreza will hit the streets late this year with much-needed cabin advance and a more focused chassis dynamics.
No. SEVEN: 2008 Aston Martin Rapide

Ranking on the seventh place is the Aston Martin Rapide. In the 2006 Detroit auto show, Aston Martin surprised the crowd with a breathtakingly beautiful four-door styling exercise called the Rapide. The Rapide is all set for production in 2008, just ahead of its undeviating competitor Porsche Panamera. The Rapide succeeded in its goal to set the standars for the most beautiful four-door car in the world. The Rapide is a show car stuffed with flashy features such as power-folding rear seatbacks, a collapsible chessboard, and a bar with crystal champagne flutes.
No. SIX: 2008 Jaguar XF
The sixth place winner is none other than the Jaguar XF. Jaguar has announced that the S-type will be changed in spring 2008 with a car called the XF, so the C-XF clearly points the way toward that production model. The concept of the design is characterized to be “20% exaggerated‖particularly in its low roofline, its wide track, and its pumped-up details. The much awaited unveiling of this XF might happen this fall at Frankfurt auto show.
No. FIVE: 2008 Cadillac CTS
Leveling on fifth grade is the Cadillac CTS. As Cadillac’s entry-level rear-wheel drive sedan continues in 2008 the all-wheel drive system is optional for the mid-size caddy. The new CTS are larger in all dimensions except for the 113-inch wheelbase. All 2008 CTS models have 6-speed transmission, automatic or manual, strut-tower brace like that used in last years CTS-V, as well as revised brakes, suspension, and steering.
No. FOUR: 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe

On the 4th spot is the Infiniti G37 Coupe. With class-leading dynamics and an improved powertrain, the new G37 coupe gives BMW’s 335i coupe an honest run for the money. The current coupe is loved because of its pit-bull-like stance. From the looks of it, the design hasn’t changed much from the concept version shown in 2006. The design of the new car has gone from rabid to refine and the only thing that we’re worried about is that, it might be turned into a Lexus. The G37 has 3.7 liter, 330-hp (estimated) V6, 14-inch front rotors and four-piston calipers and an optional four-wheel steering.
No. THREE: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer X

The third placer is the Mitsubishi Lancer X. Mitsubishi has released images of a near-production Lancer Evolution X, based closely on the Prototype X concept car unveiled earlier this year. Mitsubishi promises this will be the “largest leap in overall capability between two generations of the Evolution.”
Changes from the idea comprise less aggressive wheels, normal fog-lights instead of LEDs, a somewhat revised grille, a dissimilar front fascia, uncomplicated side mirrors, and headlights and taillights with amber indicators.
Described as an exterior study model, the car pictured is very close — if not identical — to the car that will be in show rooms early next year. The final production version will be on exhibit at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
No. TWO: 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Making its way on the second place is the new Nissan Skyline GT-R. The 2008 Skyline GT-R is a carefully constructed show car which gave the world an anticipated glimpse of Nissan’s future. In its interior is a blank black panel and the maker is providing no details on the powerstrain, suspension and other serious technical details. Nissan desires to sustain the car’s mystique for another two years, since the production car won’t appear until the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Besides, the GT-R advance team is still camped out at the Nürburgring- fine-tuning what is sure to be the most thrilling new Nissan to come along in years.
No. ONE: 2008 BMW M3
The most awaited on the year 2008 is the BMW M3. BMW has exposed the production version of the 2008/2009 M3 coupe. The unveiling comes simply weeks after the automaker revealed the M3 Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. Like the concept, the production car features a high-revving V8 powerplant, tuned suspension, a six-speed manual transmission, a carbon fiber roof, and all the exterior modifications typical of an “M” car. The last M3 made do with “only” 333 hp, but the latest M3 should have more than 400 ponies on tap, giving the Audi RS4 something to worry about.
