General Returns

Return Requirements

  • Products purchased from AutoPartsPlace.com can be returned for any reason within the first 30 days provided the product is in resalable condition. It should not be damaged, used, disassembled, or missing any component. We do not refund or replace items in those conditions, unless they were received by the customer as such.
  • AutoPartsPlace.com will pay for shipping charges and restocking fees if you are returning a product as a result of our error. For all other reasons, returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee and the shipping fee must be paid by the customer. Customer will be refunded after the manufacturer has inspected and approved that the return is in resalable condition.
  • NO returns of any type will be accepted without a RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization).
  • Parts not returnable include service manuals, CD ROMs, special-order products, custom-made products, auto body parts, and unsealed electrical parts.

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. For your protection, we suggest you insure your return shipment and use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery and a shipment tracking number.

Return Procedures

Please complete the following steps when returning your purchase:

  • 1) Request a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number by filling out this form. If you do not have the order number, you can put in the date and name you used when you purchased the product.
  • 2) In two to three business days, you will receive a response by e-mail with your RMA and further instructions.
  • 3) Pack your return item in its original packaging.
  • 4) Write the RMA on the outer box of the return package. Please remember that we do not accept returns without the RMA.
  • 5) Send the part to the return address indicated in the email containing your RMA.

NOTE: Do not return your merchandise to the same address it was shipped from, unless it is the address given with your RMA. AutoPartsPlace.com will not be liable for items shipped to any address other than the one provided with your RMA. Misdirecting your return may delay or prevent you from being credited.

Items Damaged in Delivery

For your protection, we recommend you always carefully inspect your purchase for damage before you sign for it. If merchandise arrives damaged, it is best to return it to the carrier attempting delivery. If you accept the package, keep all of the original shipping packaging and immediately contact your shipper's office to obtain a damage inspection report and the damage call tag number. Then request that the shipper return the damaged item to the address it came from, which is noted on the package. Finally, notify AutoPartsPlace.com immediately at 877-561-0745 with your damage call tag number and we will help you reorder the item or get a credit.


Core Returns

Core Return Requirements

  • A “core” is a used part that may be returned for credit. However, only certain parts are eligible for core return credit. When you purchase any of them, you automatically pay the Core Charge, which is some sort of deposit already included in the part's full cost. You can receive this money back by returning a used part similar to the new one you bought.
  • A core must be returned in restorable condition. It should not be extensively corroded or broken beyond repair.
  • A core must be returned within 30 days of purchase of the new part. Credit will be issued as soon as the manufacturer has inspected and approved the core return.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. For your protection, we suggest you insure your return shipment and use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery and a shipment tracking number.
  • NO core returns of any type will be accepted without a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

Return Procedures

To return a core, please follow the same steps indicated above for returning a new part.

Before packing the core in its original packaging, drain all fluids from it and make it as dry as possible to avoid leaks. Also, remove all auxiliary components that are not part of the core. We are not responsible for any other component that gets shipped to us with the core part.

Please fill out and submit this form if you have a new part or core you would like to return for credit. Be as detailed as possible in filling the fields. Put in the date and name you used when you placed your order, if you do not know the Order Number.

Within two to three business days upon submitting this form, you will receive through e-mail your Return Authorization Number as well as the return address you will use.
