Mazda Concepts: Tomorrow’s on Yesterdays News

Since last year, Mazda has been spewing forth one concept car after another.   Since they released their Nagare concept early last year, motorists have been drooling on the nice cars they have conceptualized.  After Sassou, Senku, and Kabura, the Japanese car manufacturer indicated starting on their future design direction.  As a result, at present, Mazda has another powerful line that could probably be an early peek at their future line up.

A colleague, reported the following of the three cars:

Nagare

“The car of the future – 2020” says Laurens Van den Acker, the man behind the very stylish, futuristic and hydrogen-fueled concept of the new Mazda – “NAGARE”. First seen at the LA Auto Show last year, its Japanese name grabbed the attention of the car enthusiasts, which makes it possibly the most wanted car of the future.

Ryuga

January’s Detroit show launched the “RYUGA” – a low-slung yet roomy four-seat coupe, adding blind spot cameras and 21-inch border. Ryuga arose from the name which means “glorious flow” and was inspired by the “karesansui” – a Japanese garden. It’s more likely to be the car of the plot, since it was designed for motorists with real passion and action.

Hakaze

An impressive design of the third concept is the “leaf” and the “wind” to a name “HAKAZE”. The car itself is a big step closer to a coupe/SUV crossover which is planned to launch by next year’s motor show.

Though the three cars are undeniably eye candy, it is the promise that these cars may make it to our streets that give them that extra factor which makes drivers like me daydream.  I guess all we can do is wait for these concepts to really make the market.  I know though that as the waiting continues, the release of new technologies will surely make the real thing in the future beter than these ones we dream of having.
