The Best Driver in The World

Leaning:  A phenomenon in racing that is the result of a high speed vehicle managing a sharp turn like a hairpin turn.  Common in motorcycles and bicycles, this also happens in four wheels vehicles.

Leaning is a result of the centrifugal force that is acting on a vehicle as it changes direction while maintaining a high speed or velocity.

Though not a skill or stunt, like drifting and doing a 180 turn, this is something that every racer must learn, to be able to control and manage sharp turns while at high speeds.

Using the concept of leaning, I have come up with skilled drivers from all over the world.  Here they are from the average ones to what I will call as the Best Driver in the World.  Hate the suspense? If you are the impatient type, please click here now for the Best Driver in the World.

In 10th place is this motorcycle driver.  With his knees almost touching the ground, he makes a very good turn while at the same time keeping his motorcycle’s balance.

In 9th place are these two motorcycle riders doing a turn and the lean together.  This is harder for aside from the two thinking of keeping their balance, they have to be conscious of what is going on around them as well, so as to avoid any mishaps.

In 8th place is this mud racer.  The trick of leaning is harder in this instance because the ground does not provide stability for the vehicle.  Lack of control can cause the bike to slide even if the biker can keep his balance.

In 7th place is a lean done in a wet slippery track with bicycles.  Though leaning is very common in this sport, one must remember that bicycles carry with them the added effort of propelling ones vehicle with ones own legs.  This demands from the driver, not only balance, but great control as well.

Unlike two wheeled vehicles, four wheeled vehicles can only manage a certain amount of lean.  And though I know better than to compare bikers to four-wheel racers, I dare to continue as I know the “Best Driver” drives a four-wheeled vehicle. :)

This Go- kart racer from Egypt manages a sharp turn.  No apparent lean is shown, but the driver compensates by leaning his own body. This takes the 6th place.

Managing a lean, these two riders take on a sharp turn.  This is a hard feat for two people to accomplish together.  This takes the 5th place.

These Citroen vehicles lean on a hairpin turn.  I have seen drivers of the same type of race even lean out of their vehicles like motorcycle drivers do in some instances.  These drivers deserve the 4th place.

Though not evident on this one, some cars are just not made to take a lean like the one above.  This driver takes the 3rd spot for “best driver”.

The 2nd spot goes to now retired F1 racer Michael Schumacher.  Throughout his career, he has proven to be the master of control and speed when it comes to four wheel drivers.  It is good to note, though, that even Mr. Schumacher does not qualify as the best driver in the world.

The Best Driver of the World does not drive in controlled environments like the race track.  Instead he drives the perilous city roads of Manila in the Philippines.  He did not take any racing school and learned from no professional mentor.  He wears no special gear, no helmets or knee pads.

He does not wear a seat belt, because unlike in the US, that safety device is relatively new to them.

His drive is three times as heavy without any customization.

Here he is, the Best Driver in the World.  The Master of the Lean…

I request that this link somehow not come up in a search for “best driver in the world.” It is really about racing, except for the winner, which is a very dangerous situation involving people maybe being crushed by a bus. I am writing a serious driver- safety work called The Best Driver In The World, and I want it to be 1st in web searches.

Here is my site. It is a blog for a newspaper–

Perhaps you can see how this is important. Driver error is the number one cause of teen deaths in the US.
